"I was born in the Marshall Islands and moved to San Antonio in middle school. I attended Winston Churchill High School and was a member of the volleyball program throughout high school. I then went on to play college volleyball at Tarleton State University and was captain my senior year. I began my teaching/coaching career in Athens, Texas as the JV/Varsity assistant volleyball coach, head swim coach, and biology teacher. My husband and I moved to Corpus Christi Flour Bluff High School where I held the same position. My next job was at Corpus Christi Ray High School as the head volleyball coach and assistant soccer coach. After 3 years, my family relocated to the DFW area where I taught biology and coached volleyball and basketball at Flower Mound High School for 2 years. In 2004, I took a position at Centennial High School as an assistant volleyball and assistant basketball coach and biology teacher. After 2 years, I had the opportunity to open Liberty High School as the head volleyball coach. It has been a successful 14 year run at Liberty with 10 playoff appearances and four time regional quarterfinalists. I am married to Richard, who is an athletic trainer at Wakeland and we have two kids, Makoa and Noelani."

"This will be my eighth year at Wakeland High School coaching volleyball and track. This will be my fifth year teaching GT Humanities, as the English-focused instructor! My teaching partner and BFF is Mrs. Joanna Cone (my other half). I graduated from McKinney Boyd High School in 2012 where I was a three-year varsity volleyball letter man and a 2011 5A State Finalist and Runner Up. More recently, I graduated from Texas Tech University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education. I have a younger brother, Ty, who will be a sophomore at Texas State University and a younger sister, Avery, who is an ER/trauma nurse at Parkland Hospital in Dallas who just recently gave birth to my first niece, Eleanor! I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and our two rescue boxers Rocco and Tilly. LASTLY, I can't wait to marry my fiance, Brad, once I get around to planning our wedding! :)"

"This will be my seventh year teaching and coaching at Wakeland High School. I graduated from Oklahoma State University where I received both my B.S. in Secondary Education and M.S. in Educational Technology. I grew up in Pilot Point and I’m excited to be back in the Dallas area, furthering my career. I currently teach World Geography and AP Human Geography. I enjoy hanging out with family, friends, and visiting Stillwater, OK when I can (Go Pokes!). For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a teacher and am very competitive which is great when coaching volleyball and basketball. I love to travel around the world with my husband, Jay! I am really looking forward to this school year!"
